Cadrail 9 Requirements

You must have the following computer equipment to operate the Cadrail Version 9 application:

·      A  PC or compatible computer running Microsoft Windows Version 98, ME, 2000, 2003, XP, Vista, see more details...
·      A display monitor and graphics card running in SVGA resolution 800 x 600 pixels minimum with 16 colors (1024 x 768 or higher recommended). 3d graphics capability (for the 3d view only).
·      A mouse (center scroll wheel optional but recommended).
·      A hard disk drive with a minimum of 12 MB available (for Cadrail).
·      A CD-ROM disc drive (for optional CD).

If you are not comfortable with downloading and installing software,
you can order Cadrail on CD ROM by parcel post
and then all you need to do is insert the disc.

Windows Vista Users

The Vista operating system already has the Microsoft .NET platform and Direct X installed. Vista users only need to Purchase,  Download and Install the single Cadrail 9 application file from our Secure Ordering Site. After ordering, you will go to your order confirmation page. The confirmation page has a DOWNLOAD NOW button. Click the button to begin downloading the Cadrail 9 application file to your system (elect to SAVE the file to an empty folder on your hard drive). Once the download is complete, run the file to install Cadrail (additional instructions below).

All other Windows Users (98 through XP)

To install the Cadrail 9 application on your computer you need to download and install the following three items:

1.  First you must download and install the Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework (if you have Windows Vista skip to step 3).

If you have already installed items 1 or 2 on your
 computer you do not need to do it again.

You should refer to Microsoft.com for additional
instructions on these Microsoft products.

2.  Next download and install Microsoft DirectX 9c for 3D viewing. You must have a video graphics card with 3d capabilities to use the 3D views in Cadrail (optional).

3.  Finally, you must Purchase,  Download and Install the Cadrail 9 application from our Secure Ordering Site. After ordering, you will go to your order confirmation page. The confirmation page has a DOWNLOAD NOW button. Click the button to begin downloading the Cadrail 9 application file to your system (elect to SAVE the file to an empty folder on your hard drive). Once the download is complete, run the file to install Cadrail (additional instructions below).

1. After clicking a file download link, you will be asked what to do with the file. Click the SAVE  button to save the file onto your hard drive.
2. When the Save As dialog appears, select a folder on your hard drive. Note the folder and file name so you can later locate the file and run it.

It is best to save and install in an empty folder on your system.

How to Install the Programs after Downloading:

1. After downloading the file, locate it in the folder you downloaded to (above), double click the file name to run it and begin Installation. Follow the additional instructions from the installation program.
